Abstract

Diploknema butyracea (Cheura) is fast growing species belonging to family Sapotaceae. Seed germination and growth of seedling has been studied in graded and ungraded seed. In present study larger sized seed performed better in comparison to smaller ones. Variation in the seedlings size can be avoided to a great extent if the larger seed of uniform size could be used for production of quality seedlings.
