Abstract

There is significant response for fertilizer and micro-application for Acacia nilotica in growth increase and biomass production in the nursery. In Acacia leucophloea initially there is response for fcrtilizer, but later on the response was not significant. The response to fcrtilizer application is felt only during later stage for Pongamia pinnata. Acacia planifrons responds to fertilizer application for growth and biomass production. The optimum dose is 0.6 gm Urea, 1.5 gm Superphosphate and 0.45 gm muriate of potash. Micro nutrients requircments for Acacia nilotica and Albizia lebbek are 1 mg in each of Borax and Sodium Molybdate, 5 mg in each of Copper sulphate and Manganese sulphate and 10 mg in each of Zinc sulphate and Ferrous sulphate.
