Abstract

Provenance trial of Eucalyptus tereticornis had been conducted at Marakkanam Research Garden, Tamil Nadu during 1982.13 provenances of Eucalyptus tereticornis including local were put on trial. Although the result is not statistically significant, the following provenances viz., (1) I.W. of Mt. Garmet, (2) 20 km North of Mount Molley and (3) West of Mackey (Seed lot N 0.13014) show better performance than others in respect of average height, clean bole height, basal area and survival.
