An Exploration of Phanerogamic Elements along Kishtwar-duksum Route, Jammu and Kashmir State

Abstract

The present communication enumerates 167 species of Phanerogams collected enroute from Kishtwar in the Jammu province, to Duksum in the Kashmir province, following the old pony track. Balanophora involucrata Hook. f. & T. is the first collection from Kashmir valley. The new records for the Doda district include: Anaphalis cuneifolia Hook. f., Artemisia amygdalina Decne., Barbarea vulgaris R. Br., Cerastium ceratoides (L.) Britt., C. dahuricum Fisch .. Myosotis arvensis Hoffm., Oxalis corniculata Linn., Plantago himalaica Pilger and Rorippa nasturtium-aquaticum (L.) Schinz.
