Abstract

Sterculia urena yields 'Gum karaya' which was used in many industries like Cosmetics, Pharamaceuticals etc. Terminal and middle cuttings were treated with rooting hormone Indole-3 Butyric Acid at 4000 ppm and 5000 ppm concentrations. rooting of cuttings was observed after 28 days In both these concentrations. No rooting was observed in the control.
