Andhra Pradesh with a forest cover of 23% of geograpbical area is rich in variety of flora and fauna. Forestry Research in Andhra Pradesh started as early as 1920. A forestry research programme has been finalised as per the current needs and priorities. Priority area of Research have been identiflad and a brief account of research activities taken up under each topic are discussed. The Progress made in Tree Improvement Research and Vegetative Propagation including Tissue Culture is discussed in tbe paper.Downloads
