Abstract

The present paper deals with the biomass of different plant parts, leaf fodder production. Coppicing effect and energy status of hypoleuca plants grown in nursery and under wild conditions. Emphasis has heen given on the need of fuelwood requirement of a family having five family members and its mitigation through the wood production of D hypoleuca. D hypoleu a coppiced well and the yield of branch wood, after coppicing, increased with increasing collar diameter. A farmer can grow D. hypoleuca easily on bis field boundaries or on terraces to fulfill his fodder, fuel and ropes requirements.
